Press

"With almost enchanting vocal elegance, the young Dutch tenor Linard Vrielink presented both Arbace arias with highly impressive phrasing culture and messa di voce. They marked another highlight of the eventful opera evening. One can hope for great things from him."

Das Opernglas, W.A. Mozart, Idomeneo - Herkulessaal ( BR Symphonieorchester, Sir S. Rattle)

February 2024

The tenor Linard Vrielink was a surprise as Arbace, usually a somewhat underexposed role, the confidant of Idomeneo. Already in the scene where the king tells him about his fateful promise to the gods, he stood out through the combination of his singing and the strongly conveyed emotions. But it was his aria in the third act, preceded by a superbly phrased recitative, that made one regret DNO had not opted for a performance with a young Dutch tenor as Idamante!

Opusklassiek

"Without a doubt, the bright lyricism and intensity in the Ferrando by Linard

"Linard Vrielink makes an outstanding Jonathan, handsomely lyrical, his love for David beautifully realised (...)"
